Located in a quite suburban landscape and situated adjacent to a beautiful park where development retained old growth natives, the site boasts a serene environment that harmonizes with nature. The plot was on a narrow 8m wide block, which presented a unique challenge for the design. In response to this limitation, a small but fundamental design approach was adopted, wherein two distinct “pavilions” were thoughtfully established, connected by a single elegant bridge and framed by a large, inviting courtyard between them. This layout not only maximises the use of space but also fosters a tranquil gathering point, allowing for seamless movement between the pavilions while offering picturesque views of the surrounding greenery. The architectural design encourages interaction with the outdoors, offering natural light to every space in the house.
